Joe Louis is widely considered the Greatest Boxer of All-Time outside of Muhammad Ali. Louis Successfully defended his title 25 times which is second only to Julio Cesar Chavez. Louis who fought in the Mid 1930’s all the way through the 40’s was considered by Ring Magazine the Best Puncher to ever set foot in a boxing ring. What we have here is the Original Joe Louis Proclamation Day Declaration Signed by the Mayor of Flint, Michigan, Donald R Cronin. The Document which was signed in 1955 basically commends Louis on his outstanding achievements and how well he represented not only Detroit but his hometown of Flint, Michigan.
