Michael Vick Game-Worn Jersey Steelers – COA Team PaperworkGo Back
Out of stock
On August 25, 2015, Michael Vick signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers worth $970,000. With Ben Roethlisberger, wearing #7 and #1 being unofficially retired for Gary Anderson, Vick wore #2. In Week 3, Vick was brought into action against the St. Louis Rams when Ben Roethlisberger sustained a knee injury that sidelined him for 4–6 weeks. Vick played decently in that stretch, going 40–66 with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception, while also rushing for 104 yards on 15 carries (his other five carries were kneel downs). Vick suffered a hamstring injury in a win against the Arizona Cardinals, being replaced by Landry Jones, which led to him missing six games, and by then Roethlisberger was healthy enough to play. Despite continual injuries to Roethlisberger and the team not signing another quarterback throughout the season, Vick would be inactive the remainder of the season, leading some sports commentators to speculate that Vick’s playing career may be over.
Presented is one of Vick’s game worn jerseys from his time in Pittsburgh in 2015. Although Vick didn’t see action on the field, the jersey was worn on November 1, 2015 against the Bengals. It is one of the Steelers more unique bumble bee style alternate jerseys. It’s striped black/yellow with black spandex down the sides. The jersey identifier “2” on the front and back is sewn on a white/black patch. A NFL shield rests along the front of the collar. “VICK” is sewn on a back nameplate in black. The collar sports the manufacturer’s tag Nike 4G – Q-BK with a hand noted “2” in black felt tip. There’s also a 2012 flap tag (as this was most likely pulled from the archives for Vick to wear because it is so unique). It includes a direct field-to collector COA from the Steelers as authentication.
