Vikings’ 1960s sewn on durenes are as rare as their 1970s mesh counterparts are plentiful. This gem is unique on two fronts: exquisite and beautiful styling as well as the quality and durability of player who wore it. Mick Tingelhoff started 240 straight games at center for the Vikings, earned All-Pro honors seven consecutive seasons and played in six Pro Bowls. That he is still waiting for his Canton induction is a travesty! This jersey is a beauty in its own right. Medium weight cotton/durene blend with embedded sleeve stripes characterized the club’s road jerseys through 1967 before they switched to shoulder stripes. Two color purple on yellow tackle twill numerals are vintage ’60’s and the drop shadow sleeve numerals were a two season Vikings’ experiment made famous more by the late ’60’s Dolphins’ and early ’70s Lions. King O’ Shea made (size 48) with three quarter sleeves, it shows medium wear. Sourced directly from Tingelhoff and signed by Mick. Rare and desirable. Go for it now before the Pro Football Hall Of Fame voters come to their senses.
