Mid-1930s Hollywood Greats Signed Album Pages (17 Sigs. w/Cecil B. de Mille)

SKU: 41591 Category:

Strictly for the accomplished collector expanding into the distant recesses of Hollywood lore, this collection of 17 different autographs is nearly to the ideal. They were compiled on leaves from a standard autograph album (4-1/2″ x 6″), and there appears only one signature per page – each well-lending itself to individual display. Nearly of them were personalized to a certain “Patsy“, and their vintage seems to be about 1934 (a couple of them are dated). The unlined, pastel sheets are in very acceptable condition – all EX or better. (A couple evidence erasures which are comfortably distant from any signing.) The signatures are all fountain pen, and “trong>8” or stronger in quality, unless specifically qualified in our detailing. Two of the sheets have signatures on the reverse, but these seem to be figures known only to “Patsy.” As a function of their obvious vintage, all of these signers are now, of course, deceased – some of the passings date to the 1930s and ’40s.

Alphabetically, then, there are included: Judith Allen, Baby Le Roy [actually, Ronald Le Roy Overacker], Ben Bernie (orchestra conductor), Madeline Carroll (pencil), Dorothy Dell, Cecil B. de Mille, Roscoe Karns (lightly traced), Ida Lupino, Jack Marshall, Adolphe Menjou (pencil), Joe Morrison, Jack Oakie, Lynne Overman (pencil), Guy Standings, Kent Taylor, Harry [Henry] Wilcoxon, and Helen Wood (pencil).
