Mid ’70s Jim Allen Game-Worn Steelers Durene Jersey w/Repairs

Nicknamed Spiderman, Jim Allen’s NFL experience came when the Steelers were at the center of the football world. Allen played on two Super Bowl squads during his career.

This gorgeous durene pullover was worn by Allen when he called the Steel City home in the mid ’70s. Outstanding wear, for a defensive back, is exhibited with at least three team repairs on front and one sew-up on the verso. The numbers are crafted in single-color black tackle twill while the NOB is in yellow-on-black tackle twill. It appears that the NOB has been repositioned. Embedded stripes are found on the sleeve ends.

Applied in the tail is an Olympic Sport Center manufacturer’s tag (local) and heavily-ruckled Sand Knit size "44" label.

We all know how stingy the Steelers are with their gamers. This is one of the scant few to reach the open market.
