Description

Fred Mister Rogers was an American television personality, musician, puppeteer, writer, producer, and Presbyterian minister. He was the creator, showrunner, and host of the preschool television series Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, which ran from 1968 to 2001.

Presented is a book that was autographed by Mister Rogers himself on the end page on an affixed bookplate. He signed it generously in blue pen (“9-10”) and added the salutation, “From”.

The book is titled, “A Piece of Red Paper”. It is a very simple book which encourages readers to imagine the many things that could be created from small pieces of colored paper in various shapes. The book was published in 1973 and was written by Sara Stein and illustrated by Otto David Sherman. It was naturally part of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood Library in which this most likely was signed in promotion for a fan.
