Mookie Wilson Game-Worn, Signed Cleats “4-88”

Rarely is a player’s career defined by one single at bat. However, that is exactly the case with Mookie Wilson. The Mets speedster was part of one of the most memorable moments in history when he sent a grounder right between the Red Sox Bill Buckner’s ankles in the bottom of the 10th inning during the 1986 World Series. Offered here is a pair of Tiger cleats that Wilson used during the 1988 season (according to the “4-88” inscription on each shoe). These blue and white spikes also feature blue felt tip signatures (“9”) on each.
