Muhammad Ali Autographed Boxing Glove (Painted by Steve Kaufman)
Out of stock
Muhammad Ali went to renowned pop artist Steve Kaufman's art studio and had a grand ole time sharing banter while autographing artwork. As an Andy Warhol protege, Kaufman's work distinctively shows the influence. In Ali's tribute, Kaufman created limited edition paintings (using Everlast 14 oz. boxing gloves as media) in his "1960 Olympic Series." Offered is a pair of gloves with the right one transformed into a wonderful blend of blues, yellows and greens. It is accented by a youthful screened-on image of Ali which is embellished by the Olympic rings. Under the champ's glowing likeness there appears Ali's black felt tip signature ("9-10"). The bottom portion of the glove is initaled by the artist, "SAK", and this one is numbered 185/250 (PSA/DNA stickered). The unsigned companion glove (left) has a printed tribute to the 1960 Olympic gold medal winner by listing the bouts and the opponents he defeated.
