Description
On July 9, 1976 Queen Elizabeth II chats with heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali in the garden of the British Embassy Thursday night in Washington. The Queen mingled with guests in the garden following a dinner in honor of President Ford.
Presented is an 8×10 black and white wire photo in a display (12.5″ x 15″) showcasing the event with that caption on the side. Ali autographed the photo in black felt tip (“9”). Added to the signature and in relation to him being with the Queen is the wonderful inscription, “I am the King”. Overall, a perfect inscription by Ali. The photo was signed in the late 80’s, before Ali’s Parkinson’s disease really started to get affect his signature.
