Muhammad Ali Training Worn Robe with Additional Signature Card

This robe comes from the collection of Glenn O’Brien whom Ali famously called “My Greatest Fan” and inscribed many pieces to him with these words.

It has a JSA Auction Letter of Authenticity and, framed, includes a personally-signed Muhammad Ali signature card with a full JSA Letter of Authenticity. It also comes with a Letter of Authenticity signed by Muhammad Ali himself.

Muhammad Ali, the Athlete of the Century, regularly wore this kind of training robe throughout his career. It is a white Everlast half length robe with a hood and has sewn embroidery on the back “MUHAMMAD ALI ” in block letters as shown in the picture. Muhammad Ali personally signed the Letter of Authenticity in blue ballpoint pen to ‘his greatest fan’, a US collector (Glenn O’Brien) who has been progressively selling his collection. For this reason, many of the items in the Ali collection from which this robe has been acquired have featured prominently in the news media for their quality and value.
