Description

What is affectionately known as the Rumble in the Jungle (Sept. 25, 1974), Muhammad Ali and George Foreman duked it out in one of the most brutal fights in Zaire, Africa.

The fight was remarkable in that many figured Ali’s days of ruling the boxing world were numbered. He was striped of his heavyweight title following his refusal to serve in the Vietnam War. This would be the fight which Ali regained his top spot at the boxing landscape. The posters originally had Sept. 25th, 1974 as the fight date. Before the fight was held, Foreman suffered a cut while sparring so the fight was pushed back to Oct. 30th. They never reissued the posters though. Instead they taped the new fight date over what was originally posted.

Presented is an oversized, magnificent poster advertising the closed circuit viewing of the battle from Zaire on October 30, 1974.  The poster measures approximately 40″ x 60″. There are compacting fold lines. Overall, a clean and great dramatic poster suitable for display.
