This piece of pine wood was broken off the goal post by our consignor after the game this was owned by consignor until now. The cosigner also mounted the piece of the goal post on the back of his Notre Dame vintage jacket.
In 1959 I obtained the Notre Dame Goal Post after they beat Navy. The Goal post was torn down and the students started ripping it up. I was present and this was my piece of the 1959 Notre Dame Goal Post.
