OE 1975 U.S. Dept. of Treasury Secretary Simon Lot – Official Gov. FDC, Letters, Photo, Booklets
Out of stock
Presented is a collection of two official mailings from the U.S. Department of the Treasury. They date to 1975 and they were sent to a longtime political collector in response to requests. Each was mailed right from the Department iteself and both mailing envelopes are included. These have been in storage for quite some time and show expected aging. You get in this collection:
One black & white 8×10 photo of William E. Simon (Secretary of the Treasury)
Two booklets titled: “the treasury story”
Two request response letters from the Office of the Secretary of the Treasury (William E. Simon) from his Secretary Doris Hann.
In response to the request a First Day Cover – FDC of William E. Simon signed in black ink (1975-1950 – 75th Anniversary of ABA). Of note, although the FDC is signed it is unknown if Simon himself signed it because of the volume of requests he must have had back then as an authority figure. It is quite possible it is autopen or secretarial. But again, we are unsure on this one.
Two Biographical sketches (typed paperwork)
