Original Eddie Mathews Hartland Statue (w/Box, Brochure and Tag)

From the initial production of Hartland’s baseball characters is this exquisite rendering of Eddie Mathews. The only qualification to report is that this one is just very slightly off-white. Thereafter, we have only superlatives in defining this gem. Of note is the integrity of the statue’s vulnerable surfaces – particularly, the edge of the hat’s visor, the outer perimeter of the glove, the knuckles on his throwing hand, and the toes of the shoes – all display utterly no wear. The register of the paint application is precisely to blueprint, and the piece stands firmly. This particular Mathews Hartland is exceptional in that there are included the original box and the collector-prized identification tag. The box is characterized by multiple superficial creases…however, there are no distractions in the way of blemishes or wear to the illustrated surfaces – ultimately, about VG/EX. The tag, likewise, has a few light creases, but there’s no wear to report – original string and no stress at the attachment…it’s strongly EX.
