Original Manchester United Game/Training Worn Shorts. Circa 1970.

A Pair (2) of Original Manchester United Game-Worn/Training Worn Player shorts dating to the late 1960’s/early 1970’s.  These shorts were an original pair of Manchester United squad equipment, and were worn by an unknown player(s) during either official matches or team training sessions.  Upon close inspection, you will come to find this item in the following condition:  The garments are  approximately 50 years old.  They carry the scent familiar with a garment of this age.  No significant damage is evident.  Light bobbles and fraying.  Labels are intact.  Obvious signs of age and wear, but overall in very good condition for their age.  Bright colors.

1.  Umbro manufactured.  Made in England.

2.  Blue shorts:  Marked as a size 34.  Label reads:  “The choice of champions.  Umbro.  Stayput Waist.  Made in England.  All cotton.  34”.

3.  Red shorts:  Marked as a size 34.  Label reads:  “Umbro.  Stayput Waist.  World Cup 1970.  Made in England.  All Cotton.  34”.

4.  Both styles/colors were worn both during matches, as well as training sessions during this time period. 

A wonderful and rare example coming out of a golden era in the history of Manchester United.
