Description

Pele’s personally owned 1970 FIFA World Cup congratulatory plaque, presented to Pele on July 2, 1970 by the Ponte Preta Athletic Association.  This silver-tone plaque was presented to Pele by the Ponte Preta Athletic Association on July 2, 1970 to honor his triumph at the 1970 FIFA World Cup just days earlier.  The plaque was presented to Pele at his club Santos’ Vila Belmiro Stadium during a match between Santos FC & Preta.  The plaque was in Pele’s personal collection for many years until Pele sold much of his personal collection at Julien’s Auctions.  The plaque measures 4 3/4″ x 3 1/4″.  The plaque is accompanied by the original auction card and tag.

The item will come presented in a small black glossy gift box for future safe-keeping.

A truly special item directly from Pele’s personal collection relating to his triumph at the 1970 FIFA World Cup Finals.
