Poison is an American glam metal band that achieved commercial success in the mid-1980s through the mid-1990s and has sold 15 million records in the United States and over 50 million albums worldwide. The band is perhaps best known for the Billboard Hot 100 number one hit single “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” and other top 40 hit singles in the 1980s and 1990s.
On Christmas Eve 1989, Poison lead singer Bret Michaels‘ huge Polynesian bodyguard died alone in his Palm Springs hotel room. His name was Kimo, and much like the rest of the band, he became heavily involved with alcohol, drugs, and women, which had taken a toll on his health.
Presented is an autographed guitar of Poison. It is a black Fender Squire (Strat) electric guitar. The body of the guitar was signed in silver/gold marker (“8-9”) by Bret Michaels, C.C. Deville, and Rikki Rockett. To complete the band, Bobby Dall signed the pickguard in gold felt tip (“8-9”) on top of its protective plastic film.
