Pristine Dick Groat Hartland Statue

In terms of condition, even the latter-day commemorative issue pales in the presence of this original Dick Groat Hartland statue. The closest scrutiny of this gem reveals absolutely no restoration and all the very critical considerations – the hat visor, heels of the spikes, knuckles, elbows, and face – are all above reproach. The figure stands firmly (with no alteration on the soles) and it includes the original bat. Naturally, there’s no yellowing to the statue, and all the intricate black and gold coloring to the jersey (characters on the front and the numerals on the verso) are ideal. And so, for that hobbyist awaiting the perfect Groat Hartland, we advance this rare statue as NM/MT…but in fact it’s really Mint.
