Description
Randy Johnson broke out in 1993, posting a 19–8 record, 3.24 ERA, his first of six 300-plus strikeout seasons (308), and he was also the first Seattle Mariners pitcher to reach 300 strikeouts in a single season. In May 1993, Johnson again lost a no-hitter to a 9th-inning single; again, the opponent was the Oakland Athletics. He also recorded his 1,000th career strikeout against the Minnesota Twins’ Chuck Knoblauch.
Presented is one Randy Johnson’s game-worn batting practice jerseys from his time with the Seattle Mariners. It is a grey Majestic mesh pullover with the logo on the right sleeve. The front chest sports colorful yellow/blue tackle twill in “MARINERS”. The verso has a “51” sewn on in single stitch tackle twill below. The Diamondbacks logo patch is on the left sleeve. The interior collar features “Majestic” label [size] XXL with an interior seam tag with wash/instructions and fabric content (100% Polyester). The jersey shows excellent game use. A copy of a provenance letter shows it originated from the Mariners and Ball Four Sports.
Authentication: 100% Authentic Team & Provenance Letter (copy).
