Now, Rogers Hornsby was certainly an indomitable batsman, and if there were a ‘hall of fame’ within the Hall of Fame, his plaque would there repose. In his later life, 1956 to be precise, he accommodated an autograph request by penning this ONL (Frick) Spalding baseball. Beginning on a blank panel, and progressing into the side panel. The ball is lightly toned (it possibly even enjoyed mild play before his signing), a light clear coat was applied to protect the signature.  Signature signed in blue ballpoint pen, and grades 8-9.
