Rookie Era Doug Flutie Game-Worn Bears Jersey
Out of stock
Forget his size – Doug Flutie got game. Technically, his rookie pro jersey was worn a as a member of the USFL New Jersey Generals. But for those who have prefer not to recognize the short-lived league, Flutie debuted with the Bears in 1986, when he mopped up for Jim McMahon. This Flutie-worn Wilson jersey is made of heavyweight mesh with the wider sleeve stripes, and it has GSH imprinted over the center stripe of the left sleeve. “#2″ is screened above the stripes as well as the front and reverse. The NOB is screened onto a plate in two-color, 3.25″ plain block font. A 1979-85 era Wilson label is sewn into the lower left front tail. Most importantly, the jersey tail has been customized and hemmed below the tag line. The specimen shows quality wear and has a small repair by the left shoulder seam and a moderate-sized repair and ding to the left of the nameplate. Furthermore, it has scuffing in a 1.5” area of the collar and upper back. The specimen is as good as it gets for a Flutie rookie model.
