Shaquille O’Neal Signed Lithograph by LeRoy Neiman Lakers – COA JSA
This seriograph lithograph by LeRoy Neiman is massive but it needs to be because it is Shaquille O’Neal. Narrating his art, Neiman said, “It’s like slo-mo, when No. 34 looms up, surging out of a crowd under the basket, a huge Moby Dick-like whale, ball in hand, players falling on all sides in his wake, like so much foam. After sinking the basket he hangs on the rim, then releases his 300+ pounds and floats gracefully, arms waving like a bird’s wings, to the floor. Shaq doesn’t run like so many big men who chug like they have sore feet. He is swift, supple and can with accuracy throw the ball the length of the floor to a teammate who is down under the basket. SHAQ’s versatility makes fans expect more from the game’s big men.”
His glowing image of Shaq is focused, determined and very close to ripping down the rim. This was made in celebration of the Los Angeles Lakers 2000 NBA Championship. From the year 2000, it measures 32″ x 47-1/4″ to the edges of the special parchment paper. Numbered 234/410, from the original serigraphic edition of 410, signed in pencil on the border by Shaq as well as Neiman. Hand numbered by the artist (234/410). NRMT.
