Steve Carlton Game-Issued Commemorative Phillies Jersey

There were some days when Steve Carlton was downright nasty. Hitters never had much luck at figuring out the lefty ace. Batter after frustrated batter would fan helplessly at Carlton’s heat or slicing curve. Offered here is a commemorative Carlton jersey issued in 1991, two years after his retirement from the game. This [size] “46” home white classic was made by the Phillies and has its exclusive tagging. All of the identifiers are applied in two-color tackle twill. “CARLTON” is sewn to a nameplate and then applied to the verso. Collar tags include a Rawlings swatch along with two strip tags: “1 91” and “Carlton.” Lefty dropped a perfect signature (“10”) on the front in blue felt tip and added the inscription “329/4136” in reference to his win and strikeout totals.
