Super Bowl I Program with Packers Simulated-Signed Football
Out of stock
Then known as the World Championship Game, the first Super Bowl was little if anything like the must-see extravaganza that it has since become. In fact, the showdown between the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs at the Los Angeles Coliseum was not sold out, which rendered game programs somewhat scarce. This Super Bowl I program is in choice NM condition, as two minor stains on the back cover are the only flaws of note. The inside pages are unblemished in tone and touch.
Also included is a Wilson football (EX/MT) that has stamped autographs of virtually the entire Packers team, 48 members in all. The faded, but readable autographs include those of Hall of Famers Herb Adderley, Willie Davis, Forrest Gregg, Paul Hornung, Henry Jordan, coach Vince Lombardi, Ray Nitschke, Bart Starr, Jim Taylor and Willie Wood. One panel is stamped “GREEN BAY PACKERS” and “SUPER WORLDS (sic) CHAMPS” around a facsimile signature of Pete Rozelle, then NFL commissioner.
