Sylvester Stallone Signed Boxing Glove Lot w/ LeRoy Neiman – COA JSA

Rocky is a series of American boxing sports-drama films. The first film, Rocky (1976), and its five sequels centered on the boxing career of the eponymous fictional character, Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone). All films in the series were written or co-written by Stallone except for Creed.  Talia Shire portrayed Adrian Pennino, the love interest of Rocky Balboa in Rocky. For this role, she  was nominated for both the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama and the Academy Award for Best Actress. She reprised her Adrian role in four Rocky sequels.

Presented are boxing related items signed by the principle cast member of the film, Sylvester Stallone and a famous sports artist LeRoy Neiman. In black felt tip (“9”), Stallone signed a trio of items including an 8×10 character photo, an Everlast speed bag and an Everlast boxing glove. To complete the display, Neiman signed the back of a lined index card in black felt tip (“9”).

It should be noted that these items were in a display previously as indicated by the baby Rocky with the American flag. Although the items were removed carefully, there are some remnants of the board they were mounted to affixed to the non-display side (back). See photos for condition observations.
