Presented is a book titled, “Real Grass, Real Heroes – Baseball’s Historic 1941 Season” by Dom DiMaggio (with Bill Gilbert and an Introduction by Ted Williams). Both Ted Williams and Dom DiMaggio signed the title page along with Gilbert in black pen (“9”). A great read about the historic season (i.e. Joltin’ Joe’s hit streak) as well as stories from some of the soon-to-be servicemen in the Major Leagues.
