Description
Secretariat (March 30, 1970 – October 4, 1989) was a champion American Thoroughbred racehorse who is the ninth winner of the American Triple Crown. He is widely regarded as the greatest racehorse of all time. In 1986, Judy Low and her husband were in Lexington, Kentucky visiting the Claiborne Farm to see Secretariat the sun was shining the grass was green the sky was blue and big Red was absolutely amazing a true gentleman. They were allowed to stand next to him for pictures, and when his handler took him behind the fence, he pulled out several strands of Secretariat’s mane hair and handed them to Judy. She protected this gift ever since but feels that it probably should be owned by someone more closely connected to the horse world.
