Three Dog Night is an American rock band formed in 1967, with founding members consisting of vocalists Danny Hutton, Cory Wells, and Chuck Negron. This lineup was soon augmented by Jimmy Greenspoon (keyboards), Joe Schermie (bass), Michael Allsup (guitar), and Floyd Sneed (drums). The band had 21 Billboard Top 40 hits between 1969 and 1975, with three hitting number one. The band recorded many songs written by outside song writers, and they helped to introduce mainstream audiences to writers such as Paul Williams (“An Old Fashioned Love Song”) and Hoyt Axton (“Joy to the World”).
Presented is a collection of (3) Three Dog Night related items. There are two original posters and one store display.
The store display is from “It Ain’t Easy” which is the fourth album by American rock band Three Dog Night, released in 1970. It features the cover of the album and measures 14.5″ x 14.5″. There’s some creasing.
The first poster is a groovy black light poster done by the artist Rudy Milian in 1970. It was by HAD Posters in Miami, Florida and three members of the band are featured in colorful artist portraits. There’s some creasing and a bottom tear and it measures 23″ x 35″.
The second poster is a store display for the band and features a shelf – Columbia Records. The poster measures 20-1/2″ x 28-3/4″ and has a tape repair on the back.
