Description
Will Rock (William George Rakauskas) was born in Lithuania and came to the U.S. in 1912, he became a magician in 1920 and was The Great Raymond’s assistant for 3 years before he hit the road and toured himself playing 300 cities in a four year period. Rock’s show ended when the war started and he joined the Army.
This particular poster is a Will Rock- Howard Thurston magic show poster from the era he performed the show (1938- 1942). It is just one of a handful of different posters that promoted magician Will Rock’s presentation of the “Miracles of Magic”, which he performed from after purchasing Howard Thurston’s magic show. The main image of Rock is complete on this one with the colors still vibrant. It shows some wear especially concentrated along the edges/corners. The poster is mounted into a display and measures 27″ x 40″ – the entire display measures in at 36″ x 49.5″.
