Rundgren is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and record producer who has performed a diverse range of styles as a solo artist and as a member of the band Utopia. He is known for his sophisticated and often-unorthodox music, his occasionally lavish stage shows, and his later experiments with interactive entertainment. He also produced music videos and was an early adopter and promoter of various computer technologies, such as using the Internet as a means of music distribution in the late 1990s.
Presented is an original concert tour tee shirt from Rudgren – at the Roxy. The black shirt is vintage and measures 17″ across the chest and the 24″ from top of collar seam to bottom. Vintage tagging is Super Shirts M. Nice band/venue design on front with no design on back. Sleeve has slight tear in seam (front).
This lot is from the T-Shirt collection from the estate of Chuck Landis (aka Largo) veteran promoter, concert best known as co-founder of the Roxy West Hollywood rock club in the early 1970’s and in 1980. Many of the T-Shirts come from performances that were at the venue. They have been locked away for many until now.
The Rox bar was a regular hangout for John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Alice Cooper and Keith Moon Heidi Fleiss in the 1980s. So you can only imagine what stories can tell?
