Tom Cruise Signed Cut Display Top Gun – COA JSA

Tom Cruise has been nominated for three Academy Awards and has won three Golden Globe Awards. He started his career at age 19 in the 1981 film Endless Love. After portraying supporting roles in Taps (1981) and The Outsiders (1983), his first leading role was in the romantic comedy Risky Business, released in August 1983.

This display (23×29) celebrates Tom Cruise in the film Top Gun. The display has a photo of Cruise in the cockpit and features a signed piece of parchment (6×8) next to it. Cruise’s autograph is in blue felt tip (“9-10”).

Upon its release, the 1986 film received generally mixed reviews from film critics but many particularly praised the action sequences, the effects, the aerial stunts, and the acting performances with Cruise and McGillis receiving the most praise. Despite its initial mixed critical reaction, the film was a huge commercial hit grossing US$356 million against a production budget of only US$15 million.
