Description
Tommy Lasorda became the third base coach of the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1973 under the Hall of Fame manager, Walt Alston. He was at the position for four seasons. Lasorda eventually took over the manager role with the Dodgers and had plenty of shining moments during his days with the Dodgers. But the biggest moment came in 1988 when his team took on the overpowering Oakland A’s in the World Series.
This game worn jersey was from his time as coach in 1973. The home jersey sports classic red and blue Dodger trim. Collar has tag “WM Goodman & Sons 46.” Dodgers” script is across front with number “52” immediately below it. Swatch tag in tail reads, “Set A 1973.” Reverse has “LASORDA” above number “52.” Overall the original jersey shows nice wear and has some pink discoloration spots in the lower interior front/back.
