Description

Presented here is a 24 x 36 UFC 19 on sight fight poster. UFC 19: Ultimate Young Guns was a mixed martial arts event hell by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on March 5, 1999 at the Casino Magic in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

Guy Mezger fought Tito Ortiz in the main event. Tito ended up defeating Guy by TKO “punches” 9:55 into the match, this fight is what started the long rivalry between Ortiz and Lion’s Den leader Ken Shamrock because of the disrespect showed by Ortiz to Mezger before the fight. Chuck Liddell made his first televised appearance in a match with Jeremy Horn. Chuck would later become the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and a Hall of Famer.

What makes this poster even more amazing is that it comes from Big John McCarthy himself. The fact that this is a piece from his own personal collection gives the poster so much more meaning. This also comes from the SEG era. Where else will you be able to find such a piece with the background like this one except for here in our auction?

The poster is pasted on cardboard. There is very little storage wear from being displayed “see photos”.
