Based in the city Caguas, they have won 18 national titles and five Caribbean World Series, including the 2017-18 back-to-back. Vic Power was a Puerto Rican Major League Baseball (MLB) first baseman. He played twelve seasons from 1954-65. He used the name Vic Power during his major league career, but played as Victor Pellot when he played winter baseball in Puerto Rico. He was an AL All-Star for four seasons playing in five of the six All-Star games that were played, and won seven consecutive Gold Glove Awards.
Presented is a Criollos game worn jersey from Power’s with the team in the mid-1970’s. The red/white pinstripe jersey features the front team logo Criollos and his jersey number on the front sewn-on in red tackle twill. The sleeves are accented in pinstripes. The back has his jersey number “31” in red tackle twill. There is a Wilson tag in the collar that dates to the mid-1970’s. The jersey shows heavy wear throughout with loose threads, soiling and sweat stains. The jersey was signed by Power on the front in black felt tip “8″. Overall, a great Puerto Rican jersey from a legend.
