Description
Missing Persons is an American rock band. The band was founded in 1980 in Los Angeles by guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, vocalist Dale Bozzio, and drummer Terry Bozzio. They later added bassist Patrick O’Hearn and keyboardist Chuck Wild. Dale’s quirky voice and heavy makeup made the band a favorite on MTV in the early 1980s.
Presented is an original concert tour tee shirt from Missing Persons. The two tone black/white shirt is vintage and measures 16.5″ across the chest and the 27″ from top of collar seam to bottom. Vintage tagging is The Merchandising Guild (M). Nice band logo on the front and blank back.
This lot is from the T-Shirt collection from the estate of Chuck Landis (aka Largo) veteran promoter, concert best known as co-founder of the Roxy West Hollywood rock club in the early 1970’s and in 1980. Many of the T-Shirts come from performances that were at the venue. They have been locked away for many until now.Â
The Rox bar was a regular hangout for John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Alice Cooper and Keith Moon Heidi Fleiss in the 1980s.   So you can only imagine what stories can tell?
A list of some of the musicians that performed at the Roxy Theatre West Hollywood:  Neil Young, Genesis, Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Guns N’ Roses, Frank Zappa, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, Warren Zevon, The Ramones, George Benson, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
