The 2001 Wells Fargo Sun Bowl edition to the Sun Bowl featured the Washington State Cougars, and the Purdue Boilermakers. The Cougars won 33-27.

Presented is a Washington State game-worn football jersey #97 from the 2001 Sun Bowl. Although, there is no name on the back, the player that wore #97 during that era was Faafetai Tupai a defensive tackle. The jersey is in the school’s colors of white/maroon/gray. It features the “WC Cougar logos on the sleeves. The left chest has the “Wells Fargo Sun Bowl” patch. The Washington State embroidered team name can be found on the V part of the neck. The player’s #97  is in maroon/gray on the front, back and shoulder pads. The Russell Athletic tagging is in the collar with [size] 50. Overall, shows great wear with a few hit marks present from contact (noticeable on left shoulder).
