Wayne Gretzky First Penalty-Shot Goal Puck w/Team Letter
Out of stock
On January 13, 1983, hockey great Wayne Gretzky put this puck past Vancouver Canucks goaltender Richard Brodeur for the first goal off a penalty shot in his illustrious career. The goal was his 40th of the season, and it is noted as such on the original cloth tape that remains affixed to the historic hard rubber piece – “Wayne 40th Goal, Pen. Shot, 8-4 in 9-4 win.” Includes a letter of provenance signed by Kevin Lowe, the Oilers general manager and former Gretzky teammate.
