Description
Whitey Ford nicknamed “The Chairman of the Board”, is an American former professional baseball pitcher, who played his entire 16-year Major League Baseball (MLB) career with the New York Yankees. The team retired his uniform number 16 in his honor, on Saturday, August 3, 1974. Ford was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, on Monday, August 12, 1974.
Presented is an OAL (Brown) baseball autographed by Whitey Ford. He signed it on the sweet spot in blue ballpoint pen (“9”) with his jersey number #16. The ball itself shows tone spots from age.
