Description
Ray Nitschke was a middle linebacker who spent his entire 15-year National Football League (NFL) career with the Green Bay Packers. Enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1978, he was the anchor of the defense for head coach Vince Lombardi in the 1960s, leading the Packers to five NFL championships and victories in the first two Super Bowls.
Bart Starr was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 17th round of the 1956 NFL Draft, where he played for them until 1971. Starr is the only quarterback in NFL history to lead a team to three consecutive league championships (1965–1967). He led his team to victories in the first two Super Bowls: I and II.
Presented is a vintage white panel Wilson (Taglibue) football autographed by both Packers legends, Bart Starr and Ray Nitschke. Each autographed the ball in blue ballpoint with Starr’s autograph being an (“8-9”) – Nitschke (“6-7”). Note, the ball does hold air.
